Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive

A clinical study showed that daily brushing with a toothpaste containing hydroxyapatite significantly improved the reaction of hypersensitive teeth to ice water.¹ The first noticeable effects can be felt after just 3 days.²

Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive is ideal for daily use.

Hydroxyapatite repairs microscopic defects in the tooth enamel surface. It has been clinically proven that toothpaste containing hydroxyapatite reduces tooth sensitivity.

All Bioniq® toothpastes contain 20% synthetic tooth enamel (hydroxyapatite) as an active ingredient. The use of hydroxyapatite has a positive effect on the health of teeth and gums. This includes, amongst other things, the formation of a biomimetic protective layer around the teeth and protection against sensitive teeth.

In addition to its main active ingredient, hydroxyapatite, Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Gum Protection contains two further active ingredients that can help protect against gum problems: the natural antimicrobial agent lactoferrin and the proven biologically active ingredient hyaluron.

Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive also contains the active ingredient bisabolol. This active ingredient is found in chamomile, amongst other sources; it has anti-inflammatory properties and soothes irritated gums.

Our teeth are constantly exposed to mechanical and chemical attacks. Many drinks and foods, even healthy fruit, contain acids. The result: the protective enamel surface becomes rough and porous. Microscopic defects develop. This can cause tooth sensitivity, as stimuli can reach the tooth nerve through exposed dentinal tubules. Exposed tooth necks caused by receding gums can also lead to sensitivity.

Once worn away, tooth enamel cannot be regenerated by the body. The artificial tooth enamel in Bioniq® Repair Sensitive Plus Acute toothpaste repairs microscopic defects and, with regular use, forms a protective layer against wear and tear.  

Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive therefore tackles the root cause of tooth sensitivity in a natural way. Hydroxyapatite crystallites (artificial tooth enamel) seal the exposed dentinal tubules and bond with the surface of the tooth enamel. The tooth enamel surface is repaired and sensitivity is effectively reduced.

The active ingredient bisabolol is found in chamomile, amongst other plants; it has anti-inflammatory properties and soothes irritated gums.

The formula of Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive, as well as the materials used for the tubes and bottles, do not contain any ingredients of animal origin. 

No animal testing was carried out in the development of our products. In general, animal testing for cosmetics has been prohibited by law (the Cosmetics Regulation and the EU Cosmetics Directive) for many years.

All Bioniq® toothpastes have a mild formula and are generally very well tolerated. In some homeopathic treatments/therapies, the use of flavourings in food/dental care products (such as menthol) should generally be avoided. Like most toothpastes on the market, Bioniq® toothpastes contain a menthol-based flavouring that provides a pleasant feeling of freshness.

As all Bioniq® products follow the principle of biomimetics, we do not use any ingredients of concern as a matter of principle. The Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive therefore contains no microplastics or nanoplastics. We do not use polyethylene plastic beads, known as microbeads, as cleaning particles in our toothpastes.

No. None of the Bioniq® products contain titanium dioxide.

Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus Acute Sensitive toothpaste has a medium RDA rating and is therefore suitable for daily use.

All Bioniq® toothpastes have a very gentle formula. This means they can be used even with dental implants and fixed or removable dentures.

In addition to the main active ingredient, hydroxyapatite, Bioniq® toothpastes also contain cleansing agents and mild surfactants. Furthermore, they use gentle abrasives that do not damage implants, crowns, fillings or veneers.
